Mrs. Ashley Ide
About the principal:
As a lifelong resident of Hampton and a product of Hampton City Schools, nothing makes me prouder than to serve the Burbank Students and Staff. I attended Langley Elementary, Eaton Middle and Kecoughtan High School (Go Warriors!). I attended Christopher Newport University earning a bachelor's in political science with a minor in history. I went on to earn my master's degree in teaching history and social sciences (also from CNU) and started my career teaching at Eaton Middle School (later Phenix PreK-8) as a 7th grade social studies teacher.
After earning my master's degree in educational policy, planning and leadership from The College of William and Mary, I was honored to serve as an assistant principal at Barron and Smith Elementary School.
After more than 12 years of working for Hampton City Schools, I am even more dedicated to ensuring that we work hard to ensure the success of every child, every day, whatever it takes.
