About the principal:
Ms. Ide has been an educator with HCS for twelve years. Before serving as the principal at Burbank, she spent two years as the assistant principal at Smith Elementary School and served as an assistant principal at Barron Fundamental Elementary School. She has a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in teaching history and social science from Christopher Newport University. Ms. Ide also holds a master’s degree in educational policy, planning and leadership from The College of William and Mary.
About the assistant principal:
Mr. Gulotta has worked in education for the last 25 years. He has worked as both a teacher and administrator in Texas, Missouri, and here in Hampton. Mr. Gulotta taught history at Hampton High before becoming an assistant principal at Aberdeen Elementary and Booker Elementary. He earned a bachelor's degree in social studies education from the University of Texas and master's degree in educational administration from Texas A&M University.
